Helping us Help Dogs

Your patronage helps us save dogs lives through our rescue Halo Husky Haven.

Our focus is to save huskies and huskies mixes who are abandoned,
abused, strays, owner relinquished, on death row at kill shelters, or retired/abandoned from tourist dog sledding operations.

We rescue dogs across Canada and from select areas in the United States where there is an excessive crisis overpopulation of neglected and abandoned huskies, especially southern California.

Huskies are a beautiful but challenging and often misunderstood breed which leads to the abandonment and death of hundreds of huskies every year. We hope to save many of those dogs and place them in forever loving homes.

Ivy’s Story

Ivy came in to Halo Husky Haven in July of 2019. This little gal unfortunately has neurological deficits and is the product of irresponsible breeding. She was the sole survivor of her litter, because the downstairs neighbors took her in when she was 8 days old. Anandoned by her poor sick, infected mom, she was left to die.
The neighbors bottle fed her every few hours & through the night. When they passed those notes on to us, the care was very apparent, as was the fight in Ivy to survive.

We found a private donar that helps financially with her special needs including physio, water therapy and her new wheelchair. Ivy is lovingly fostered by a small network of caregivers, including Linda & Mike.

Jordan’s Story

Jordan, who’s original name was biscuit was found in Jordan chained to his metal cage and the house was abandoned. In Jordan it regularily gets to 45 degrees. His ear had been completely eaten by bugs. We brought jordan into Halo Husky Haven in August of 2019.

This beautiful boy turned out to be an absolute gem. He loves playing with dogs more than anything.
Fun loving and carefree fully describes Jordan.

We also rent space to the Calgary Humane Society and The Pacific Assistance Dogs Society our space at a deep discount.

We want to ensure all dogs and their caregivers have access to the best resources and training possible so they can be successful in the home and outside of it. Chasin’ Tails donates space to multiple meet up groups, funsraising seminars and puppy yoga.
